Analysis and countermeasures of five common faults of solar street lamps

Solar street lights are widely used in our lives. They can be seen in cities or rural areas, main roads or country roads, scenic spots or courtyards, which bring great convenience to our night life. However, solar street lights are exposed outdoors. are susceptible to some failures due to the influence of the environment, then for these failures, we
How to investigate and deal with it?

1. The whole light is off

① There are usually 4 reasons why the whole light does not light up. The common one is that the controller in the lamp head has been flooded and short-circuited. First, you can check whether the terminals of the controller have water stains and rust.
②If this happens, it is most likely that the controller is damaged due to water ingress. You can use a multimeter to measure the resistance at both ends of the circuit. If the resistance value is too small, it usually means a short circuit. At this time, the controller needs to be replaced.
③If the controller is not damaged and short-circuited, then check if there is a problem with the battery. You can use the battery voltage to measure it. If the battery does not store electricity, it will naturally need to be replaced in time.
④ If there is no problem with the battery, you can further check whether there is a problem with the solar panel. Under the condition of normal operation, whether there is voltage and current output, if not, the solar panel needs to be replaced.

If there are no problems with the above, then there may be a problem with the light source itself. After supplying power to the LED light source, see if it can be turned on normally, and replace it in time.

2. Short lighting time

After using solar street lights for a period of time, even if there is enough light, the lighting time may be short, and the lighting cannot be provided normally on rainy days. If the power is insufficient, just replace a supporting battery in time, and the parameters should be appropriate.

3. After the lamp holder is installed, it will be fully lit and not extinguished
When installing solar street lights, some customers may encounter such a problem, why the LED light is on right after it is installed, and it still does not go out. At this time, first check whether the positive and negative poles of the solar panel are connected correctly. Correct it in time, and then use a multimeter to measure the voltage of the solar panel to compare and see if it is consistent. If the voltage value is too small, it means that the quality of the solar panel itself is faulty and should be replaced in time.

4. The lamp beads of the street lamp are not fully bright

If the light source is welded poorly during production, it will easily lead to this result. Replace the corresponding lamp bead and weld it firmly. , the entire lamp head needs to be replaced.

5. The light source flickers

There are many reasons for this phenomenon. First of all, you can replace the lamp. If the problem persists after replacement, it may be a problem with the line. Check whether the line interface is in good contact and deal with it in time.
If there is no problem with the wiring and the light source is still flickering, you need to check the battery. If the battery is in a low-charge state and the power storage is insufficient, the light source may also be flickering. In this case, the battery should be replaced in time.
